‘Flowers of the Forest’ - Launch Event 28th Nov 2009

Dear Friends

 

Clive Chatters, well known in the New Forest region for his work and expertise on the plant-life of the area, has just completed a beautifully-illustrated book titled Flowers of the Forest, produced by WildGuides and printed by a firm local to the Forest. The book looks not only at the amazing flora of the Forest but at all the important botanists who have contributed to our knowledge of this nationally-important place.

 

The New Forest Centre has kindly offered to host a launch event at which Clive will be signing this colourful book on November 28th between 11am and 1pm. We would be most grateful if you and any of your colleagues could come along for a chat and to see the book, or even purchase a signed copy.

 

Mulled wine and mince pies will give a seasonal flavour to the event and by all means do bring along others who would be interested in this topic and to meet the author.

Immediately after this event, there is a free afternoon fun day from 2pm to 4pm with Children’s Christmas activity, Pomander Making and festive fun so why not bring any family along.

Bramshaw Members Meeting

Please don’t forget, this year’s open members meeting will be held at Bramshaw Village Hall on

Tuesday 17th November at 7.30pm prompt.

Please do come along and raise any questions, comments or concerns you may have, this is your Association and whilst the Committee do a very fine job to the best of their combined ability, they are there to support you, the Members, and your input on matters is always valued.

Hustings Meeting

VERDERER’S ELECTION 2009

 

The NFCDA will be hosting an open meeting on Monday 16th November at Lyndhurst Community Centre at 7.30pm prompt, to allow candidates standing for this year’s Verderer’s Election to present themselves to the electorate.

This will be followed by an open question and answer session, and all are welcome to attend.
