Young Commoners Open Meeting

Open to all practicing young commoners and family members of practicing commoners under the age of 40 and over the age of 16.

Date: Saturday 27 February 2010

Time: 7.00

Venue: Velletta Barn, Fritham Park at the pub and follow the road around to the left. The barn is 20m from the pub over a cattle grid on the left.

Food will be provided after the meeting.

We hope to be able to give you an update on the proposed Higher Level Stewardship Scheme, with relevant speakers. Along with the usual open forum for discussion.

We will also be talking about the Young Commoners Committee which is taking a new format for the forthcoming year. If you are interested in becoming more involved in the Young Commoners Group please contact the relevant chairperson:

For education and training including Colts Council - Lyndsey Stride or Rachel Green;

For Back-up grazing, housing and open forest management - Robert Stride or Tom Hordle;

For raising the profile of young commoners, including social events and public activities such as New Forest Show Jenna McCullogh or Jake Moore.

Glen Rees remains the Chairman with Charlotte Stride as Treasurer.

Venue: Jack Hargreaves Room, New Forest Centre, Lyndhurst.

Activities: 1. Christmas games and activities.

                       2. Planning Half term and Easter events.

                       3. Snacks and drinks.
